Wait No More!

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

If you haven’t already heard, Faith No More is getting back together for a glorious European summer tour. But will they play Coachella? Sasquatch? Who knows? All I know is that when and if they decide to swing by the Bay Area, I’ll be there. It all comes down to whether or not this summer tour goes over well. Faith No More’s last known performing line-up consisted of Patton, Bottom, drummer Mike Bordin, bassist Billy Gould and guitarist Jon Hudson. Although, guitar-soloist Jim Martin hasn’t been confirmed, but all us FNM fanboys would most likely cream our pants if we saw him up there on stage again. We can only hope…

Reunite Your Human Waste

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

It seems as though it’s late 90s alt-rock reunion year. First the supposed Far reunion coming up in mid-October and now the ferocious Human Waste Project will be reuniting to tear up the Key Club in LA. HWP was doing the Flyleaf/Kittie angst-rock way before it was generating any attention. Drawing influences from The Cure, Sepultura, Tool, and Portishead, Human Waste Project was a shining star in a mess of cookie cutter nu-metal acts trying to cash in on the now squeezed-dry genre. The band consists of theSTART lead vocalist Aimee Echo, Mike Tempesta on guitar, Jeff Schartoff on bass, and Scott Ellis on drums. They only released one now discontinued album entitled e-Lux on Hollywood Records; which is filled with your fair share of heavy riffs, aggressive vocals, and experimentation. They played Ozzfest and toured with bands like Incubus, Helmet, Deftones and Sublime before their demise in 1998.
