The video represents Greycoats‘ emotional and dreamy sound very well. The song itself has been featured on Gossip Girl and is on their latest album, Watchman, What Is Left Of The Night?

For those of you who have already heard the leaked version of dredg’s fourthalbum, The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion, consider yourself lucky. The album itself is a monumental achievement for the well respected Los Gatos, CA band. This is the German single off their new album and is already blowing people’s minds.
You can pre-order The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion here.
In celebration of the pre-release of Illinois’ ‘The Adventures of Kid Catastrophe’ Deluxe edition exclusively on iTunes right now, here’s their goofball short film about the Adventures of Kid Catastrophe.
TONS of new releases this week to talk about. First off I’ve been listening to The Decemberists‘ new album, Hazards of Love and so far…it’s…uhh…okay? I seriously need to spin this a few more times to get a real opinion about it, but it doesn’t suck. It’s obviously no Castaways & Cutouts, but it’s a grower. Catch The Decemberists on tour this spring here.
In addition to the plethora of new releases are Dan Deacon’s wonderfully bizarre masterpiece, Bromst. (Dan Deacon Kuestionnaire)
DOOM’s (MF Doom) Born Like Thisbrings back that dark production I love so much; giving me a reason to listen to his whole catalog all over again.
The Knife’s Karin Dreijer Andersson’s project Fever Ray releases her debut. Highly recommended for Knife and Bjork fans (like me).
Mastodon slaughters your senses with Crack The Skye. I find it annoying that fans of the band are not embracing this change in style. Time to grow up kids!
Fresh off a breakout trip to SXSW this past week, including a spot opening for Jane’s Addiction at the exclusive Playboy / C3 party, LA’s Kenan Bell will be playing with +1 Records label-mates Illinois at Rickshaw Stop on Saturday, March 28th.

Thoughts - Definitely highlights their entrancing live shows, which you’ll be able to catch with the mighty Manchester Orchestra this spring. You can check out their dates here.
Audrye Sessions – Turn Me Off
Thoughts - Another bizarre and hilarious addition to the ‘The Adventures Of Kid Catastrophe’ story. Keep an eye out for Illinois‘ The Adventures of Kid Catastrophe Deluxe Edition on May 5th. The bundle will include all 18 songs and 6 film chapters of this six-month undertaking, plus 2 bonus songs and 2 bonus video chapters.
Illinois has released chapter 4 of ‘The Adventures Of Kid Catastrophe‘ along with the song below…
Illinois – Missing Piece
The Brighton Port Authority(aka The BPA) and their star-studded smorgasbord of collaborations (Iggy Pop, David Byrne, Dizzee Rascal, Martha Wainwright, Jamie T, and many more) has made quite possibly one of the best music videos of the year.
The BPA – Toe Jam (ft. David Byrne & Dizzee Rascal)
The follow-up to Illinois‘ What The Hell Do I Know seems to be building up a lot of hype. This is all due to the bizarre and hilarious episodes of The Adventures of Kid Catastrophe, which is also the name of their upcoming release. Along with these goofy youtube clips comes a delightful free song. Illinois‘ usual tongue-in-cheek, lighthearted, lyrical style and power-pop melodies fill these sweet little songs. I look forward to see what else these guys have in store.
