from http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/
Yes my friends, that is In-N-Out Burger’s Animal Style French Fries; french fries covered in American cheese, sauteed onions, and thousand island dressing. Fuckin’ A right it’s gross! I have no desire to try it…ever. However, I am in the mood for some take-out tonight. Should I order from Sol Food, Napoli Pizza, or Falafel Hut? Who cares?!!? Just as long as I’m not eating that mound of shloop that looks as if someone vomited curdled milk.
You hungry? Curb your appetite with this mix. Enjoy.

Top 10 reasons for me to be excited:
- Paul McCartney
- Leonard Cohen
- My Bloody Valentine
- Public Enemy
- Girl Talk
- Gang Gang Dance
- Mastodon (although I doubt the people I’m going with will want to see them)
- Henry Rollins?…uhh…awesome.
- Beirut
- TV on the Radio
Top 10 reasons why I’m disappointed:
- No Blur
- No Animal Collective (however I’ll be seeing them this spring…but still!)
- Possibly a Leonard vs. Paul stage timing
- Patton and Rahzel? No Faith No More? C’mon Mike!
- No She & Him
- Will Amy Winehouse live long enough to perform?
- Possible TV on the Radio vs. Fleet Foxes stage timing
- Expen$ive
- Where’s Basement Jaxx, Chemical Bros, Orbial, Underground?
- Crystal Method? srsly?
I wonder who the March surprise will be…
Anyone else got any thoughts on this?

Henry Rollins – Horses
Gang Gang Dance – Blue Nile
Beirut – Elephant Gun

Don’t hurt yourself trying to explain to someone what Gang Gang Dance sounds like. However, you can safely say that their latest album, Saint Dymphna, is probably one of the most highly praised records of 2008. Gang Gang Dance is that kind of band you’d expect from the NYC experimental dance scene; futuristic, vibrant, chaotic, tribal, and totally fun. It’s no surprise that they’ve been getting all this critical acclaim for Saint Dymphna, which is as bizarre as it is danceable. The band is will be playing at Santos Party House in downtown Manhattan on New Years Eve, then they’ll be off to Europe in February.
Gang Gang’s Brian DeGraw answers this week’s Kuestionnaire and shares a different (yet hilarious) kind of embarrassing stage moment.
1. Of all the bands/artists in your CD/record collection, which one is your most cherished?
Currently a mix cd compiled by Jimmy Hey and a cd by Bazaardvark.
2. What have you been listening to lately?
Jimmy Heys mix cd, Silver Apples, and the first Burial album.
3. What’s your favorite local band?
Black Dice.
4. What was the last show you attended?
Just went to see Violens and Deerhunter the other night in brooklyn,
5. What was the greatest show you’ve ever been to?
Probably either an early Animal Collective show or possibly No Neck Blues Band in Minneapolis when they just started cutting themselves with bottles and throwing shit at the audience.
6. What show are you looking forward to?
Guest Species in the Conference House/Butthole Surfers/Black Dice tomorrow night.
7. What musician would you like to hang out/work with for a day?
Brian Eno without a doubt.
8. What four albums you would bring to a deserted island?
I dunno….probably a bunch of faceless new age music…just background sound.
9. Would you call yourself a music geek?
No.
10. Any favorite music-related videos/DVDs you own?
A Bubble Jug live video and all of of the footage ive ever filmed on tour.
11. What’s the last book you read?
“To the King of Thailand” by Matthias Connor
12. Do you prefer live performances or recording in the studio?
Live for sure. I like both but i find it much easier to get into my preferred state of mind while playing live.
13. Any embarrassing moments on stage you’d like to share?
When i as 15 i dove onto the stage at a Morrissey concert and the bouncers grabbed me by the pantlegs and my pants came down in front of 5,000 people. Actually it wasn’t even very embarrassing…its just the type of scenario that is supposed to be emabarrasing but i just remember laughing and getting thrown out.
14. Any favorite tour locations?
All of Japan, Lisbon, and Los Angeles…LA not so much for the show but more for the weather and the friends and the tacos.
15. Lastly, what have you done today?
Bought some basil and talked to my spider.
