Via Audio has definitely proven themselves as worthy addition to the indie rock world. The group’s attention to little sonic details raises their sound beyond the realm of mere tech-pop fan boys to something truly special…Via Audio forces the listener to readily acknowledge that great shoegaze pop can indeed come out of the marriage of man, machine and melody. With their latest record off SideCho Records, saysomethingsaysomethingsaysomething, the band drifts throught dreamy soundscapes at new, anthem-like levels.

Bassist David Lizmi swung by the Kata Rokkar to answer the Kuestionnaire and give an enthusiastic answer to question #9.

2. What have you been listening to lately?
new Neko Case + New Jolie Holland

3. What’s your favorite local band?

4. What was the last show you attended?
Black Joe Lewis+ The Honey Bears

5. What was the greatest show you’ve ever been to?
Thats tough. Deerhoof felt good all over my body and so did Huey Lewis + the News

6. What show are you looking forward to?
I was looking forward to SXSW for a long time

7. What musician would you like to hang out/work with for a day?
George Harrison

8. What four albums you would bring to a deserted island?
This question is giving me anxiety, aaaah. I think i would just start talking to myself and try to learn bird calls.

9. Would you call yourself a music geek?
YES!

10. Any favorite music-related videos/DVDs you own?
Pete Seeger, David Bazan, Joe Strummer Documentaries

11. What’s the last book you read?
“Portnoy’s Complaint ” by Philip Roth

12. Do you prefer live performances or recording in the studio?
Recording

13. Any embarrassing moments on stage you’d like to share?
I have fallen flat on my face slipping off of my Bass Amp, I have split my pants down the crack of my ass as well

Japan and beaches

15. Lastly, what have you done today?
Went for a run and watched the movie “CreepShow”
